Rainbow Rails was inspired by the quilt given to my son by my mother-in-law.  I hand dyed 100% cotton Nelona Batiste and carefully pieced 1/8 inch strips together by machine.  I then added a thin layer of silk batting and carefully hand quilted it in the ditch(at the seams).  This quilt is the perfect 1/12th scale baby blanket, or a great 1/2 scale quilt.
